"Right my cars 3rd boirthday is soon and the warrenty runs out. its a pug 206 currently at 6418miles!!! at 5000 i had the headgasket done under warrenty cuz i noticed i had an oil leak! i took it back cuz when i got home it sounded like a bag of marbles... they reset some stuff and found 16 software faults in my ECU and then they gave me it back... now it sounds like a god damn diesel every few days wether hot or cold...its random...and they say its all in my head and im making it up. lol so! even though my workmates agree it sounds like shyte pug say im wrong. so! any ideas? cuz ive booked it in next week and im gunna complain like mad lol and say i want loads doing "

have ur oil checked. it may be that ur running a little low on oil and everynow and then it starts to rattle.

"what id try tia is maybe pull each ht lead or coil pack depending on what you have and test it that way see if that makes a difference? either that or maybe clogged injector? as from what you said sounds like its missing for some reason. however the 16 software ecu faults does also sound a tad concerning. maybe try taking it to another pug garage for a second oppinion at a last resort??"

"was new. its better now...they didnt time it properly...but i had it bk a few days after cuz i had a coolant leak (noticed during its 1st MOT! its fine now... need to do sum drivin in it though goin to work n bk its doing 31mile to gallon...well poo. "

You should really open a new post for people to see your question but yes if you have recently had a rear end shunt or similar then a rubber hammer to the back panel may help however this is only if its dented and creased causing the boot to jam otherwise it could me many things seized lock or mechanism etc etc. You could try some wd40 it may be something simple like lack of oil and lube."
