If you insure mods. does that cover for any mod of that type? for instance: If i insured my after market backbox. if i changed the backbox for another. would i need to tell them or wud it still be insured? same with alloys. body kits etc? always bugged me that one"

Some companies don't ask for the price of mods or the make but if you do have them covered how will they know if you changed them in this case. Sky usually ask for the make from what I remember. Body kits more likely will be asked more info about and possibly wheels but as I said some companies just treat alloys as alloys not 4000 quids worth like some.

"Sky will cover your modifications on a like for like basis eg: If your in an accident and your modifications are damaged they will be repaired or replaced to the exact same standard as they were before the accident.At Sky we send you out a modification report form where you can list all of the mods and the specific details of each one so we know exactly what we are covering. With regards to the value of your car including the mods. Insurance companies will pay out the value of your car with mods taken into account.
