Lexus is the luxury vehicle division of the Japanese company Toyota Motor Corporation. It was founded in 1989 and originated from a clandestine flagship sedan project which aimed to give Toyota a foothold in the premium segment of the motor vehicle market. It began in 1983 and developed into the company’s original model, the Lexus LS. The company has a good reputation for vehicle reliability.

Lexus ES
The Lexus ES is a series of mid-size family luxury sedans produced by Lexus since 1989. It’s currently in its fifth generation and has been consistently built on the Toyota Camry platform with a V6 engine, automatic transmission and, until 1999, was Lexus’ only front-wheel drive vehicle.
Lexus GS
A series of mid-size luxury sports sedans/executive cars, the Lexus GS was introduced in 1993 to provide Lexus with a sports sedan capable of competing in the mid-size class. It’s available in three generations and the 2006 model is available in both V6, V8 and hybrid versions.
Lexus IS
The Lexus IS (designated by Lexus as standing for ‘Intelligent Sport’), also known as the Toyota Altezza, is a series of entry-level luxury cars/compact executive cars produced since 1999. It was introduced as an entry-level sports model originally and it’s newest generation is available as a high powered V8 Sedan version (the IS F) and also premiered in 2008 as hardtop convertible versions,t he IS 250 C and the IS 350 C.
Lexus LS
The Lexus LS was Lexus’ first car to be developed. It is a full-size luxury sedan first debuted in 1989. Four generations have so far been produced, all equipping V8 engines and rear-wheel drive apart from the 2006 model Lexus LS which contained all-wheel drive, hybrid and standard or long wheelbase variants.
Lexus RX
A luxury crossover SUV, the Lexus RX has been produced by Lexus since 1997. The series comprises multiple V6 ad hybrid powered models in either all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive versions. The series is one of the first crossovers, designed to combine the functional characteristics of an SUV with the luxury-type features of a sedan. Three generations have been produced to date and are available in either compact or mid-size form.
Lexus SC
A personal luxury coupe produced by Lexus since 1991, the Lexus SC series features a front engine and rear wheel drive with seating for up to 4 passengers. It was first debuted with a V8-powered SC 400 in the first year then the I6-powered SC 300 was added in 1992. Both versions were produced until 2000, the second generation becoming available in 2001 featuring a hardtop convertible design with a v8 engine.
