"ok im starting to have massive boost problems with my 1990 Ford escort mk4 with the RS2000 engine conversion at the moment i accelerate and the car seems to stutter and backfire excessively on high revs it seems to only have the problem after driving the car for some time the turbo spools fine not rattles or play in the spool ive even take it off and rebuilt and re oiled all the joints a few month ago! the car is fueling excessivly but this has never been an issue before! i checked all pluys and although there is slight sign of fuel issues on the plugs they still seemed ok considering the miles ive done on them ive checked everything i can think of and im sort of getting stuck now! any one on here have any ideas on what could be causing this? "hmmmmm.... couldn't realy be air related as it'd be all the time unless its when the turbo spins up and gets to optimum boooooost(weeeeeeeeeeee) i'd sort the fueling out 1st and foremost and go from there. "

"just eliminate things one by one. start small plugs leads coil fuel filter then failing that move onto bigger things.. hope you get it sorted fella "

"i have a very similar problem with mine! i have been informed getting the front mounted intercooler and larger turbo and better quality plugs would resolve it as of course as your putting more fuel in you require that balance for the car to run propperly. Let us know how you get on fella as if you suss it before i do on mine then il will copy your solution! haha"
