I HAVE A 58 plate Chevy Aveo , 44,000 miles with current mot ,
1.4 Head gasket went so rather than rebuild easier to replace as manifolds , cam cover basically anything plastic etc had melted so fitted 140 bhp red top vectra engine with new clutch , cam belt , coil pack sports exhaust , but kept/ or replaced original sensors to save ECU change ,,Winner she fired up ,,, but pas fluid pumping out seal ,,, replaced seal , fired up again ,, pas sorted , clutch bled , goes into all gears etc , 1 fault Codes in memory , map sensor , so replaced this ,,no codes present ,started again and continued up to temp , but no fan cutting in , so stopped it
Found fan temp sensor not working ,in side of rad ( haven’t replaced yet , as couldn’t locate right one
All else working fine left for the day ,
Returned following morning to a flat battery, I had left door open , so recharged and tried to start ,, fired but wouldn’t idle ,,, so code read again, m(no codes ) scoped every sensor (good waveforms etc ) but still no start , turned over fine ,, but no fire, everything else works , lock unlocks with remote, lights , windows etc , all fuses good ,,,
I then removed a rag I had placed on dash ,which had covered immobiliser light , which is happily blinking away ,,,lol
Looks like me disturbing battery has de coded key /s and my equipment doesn’t cover this model to re code ,, I’m sure if someone sorts the key and of course rad sensor all else will be fine ,,, I am moving away and just don’t have time to sort so open to sensible offers as I need it gone , 2 keys , log book etc present please the message me if your serious ( 07817559817 ) the car will need to be towed ,recovered
