"Update 24th March 2009: After being made redundant some months back this project was put on hold. I've now decided to go ahead with this after all. Im doing a budget build all work carried out by myself. New project starts on page 3 Original post in September Hello all I thought I put together a diary of this project. Im now starting to buy parts for this and hope do start work this winter with my mate Andy over at Miami-GT. Originally I was going to do a TT engine transplant but decided against it when I weighed up the costs. To start with the TT engine will cost 3 grand and an extra 5-8 grand to fit a single turbo (more powerful). So I thought to myself instead of buying another engine which god knows where it came from to start with I'll keep the engine i've already got and have the benefit of a single turbo at the same time. Another + is if my engine (non turbo engine) went bang these engines costs next to nothing to replace unlike the TT engines. Non turbos engines were actually being given away not so long ago because everyone wants a TT. So to start with I have gone with the Boost Logic Stage 2 but taking out a few bits as i've already sourced these parts cheaper. The kit- http://www.boostlogic.com/xcart/product.php?productid=73&cat=19&page=1 Other items to get: -E-Manage Ultimate Fuel Control - _Ǭ£175.00 -AEM UEGO AFR - _Ǭ£160.00 -Glowshift Oil Pressure Gauge _Ǭ£32.99 -Glowshift Oil Temperature Gauge - _Ǭ£24.99 -Oil Sandwich Plate - _Ǭ£16.99 -TRD Exhaust - _Ǭ£229.00 -Engine Oil - _Ǭ£60.00 -Oil Filter - _Ǭ£20.00 -Turbo Blanket $114.00 Once everything is here it will be time to start. I will have to tap into the block or sump (not decided yet) to feed the oil return for the turbo -thats the hardest part. After that the head gasket and head bolts will be tackled and so on. This kit should see me with about 325RWHP at 9PSI. This kit can go upto 21 PSI so its possible to see 450+BHP at the wheels. To give you an idea here is a vid of a supra with the above kit installed racing a Twin Turbo Supra with Basic Part Upgrades - these usually run 400-420HP. Same kit mid boost and by the sounds of it a pretty quiet exhaust This will be updated throughout. Daz "

"Cheers people Johny cheers for the input. For some reason the na supra engine has a flange in the side of the block to attach an oil return - god knows why. The only thing is you need to drill into it which I don't really feel comfortable with. Drilling the sump is much easier but I was speaking to one guy and he said its a pain trying to reseal the sump without it leaking. My mate has a ramp so this might make it easier to attach back on as with anything with more than one bolt you need to equally tighten them up in opposite ends to ensure it meets in all areas."
