"I now own a megane II 1.6 16V and well it has no power. The fuel consumption is turd also. Its got a full service history and was recently serviced. Its only done 40k. I have been looking at remapping but 10B.H.P gain seems nothing i know ill save on fuel with a remap but _Ǭ£219.00 for 10 mins work just seems alot. I have found a few applications that cam run on my laptop and the cable needed is cheap of fleabay. Has anyone done a remap? and if so was it hard to do ? I might have a go myself "

personally I wouldn't bother as that sort of gain is going to be barely noticeable although it would remove any flat spots from your rev range. what may be an idea is to add a few mods first eg exhaust air filter etc and then remap and see if you can get greater gains from this. speak to the remap centre to see what the max power output could be with mods to your particular engine.

I have writen diesel maps and watch petrol ones being writen. It would depend on the softward as to how difficult it is. You'll just be adjusting the amount of fueling and possibly the timing.

If you really want more power, I think you are on a loser though. Might be worth looking at changing your wheels?
