Advice on BMW 520d E60...

Hi, I am looking to get my 520d currently @ 183bhp to 300bhp and wanted to know the best way to do that without spending a ridiculous amount! And I want the engine to have a growl to to it but I'm being told you can't get that sound with diesels, is that right?? What parts can I get or change to increase the power of the engine ?

One question - is your car the standard 190HP model or have you had it remapped from standard 140HP model?
