"Hi I'm breaking my dd and a friend kindly put in a aftermarket hu for me a Kenwood KDC-3090R. Unfortunately this was 8 years ago and my friend has since moved away. I have no record of the radio's code how can I retrieve the security code? Is it easier to get before I disconect the battery? p.s. I have had the hu out (still wired in) in the hope the code might be on the back but no cigar....... Thanks for the help "

"you may need to bite the bullet and take it to a stereo place to get the code for it. Should only be a tenner. Or you can try on the net - although the last few codes I got didn't work and ended up going to a shop anyway."
