Bucket Seats

Replacing your standard car seats with a set of racing seats will drastically improve the look of your interior and feel of your car. Bucket seats are available in various colours so there is always something to match or compliment your style of interior. You will have even more support when you pair these seats with multi point harnesses. In many cases bucket seats offer a higher level of safety to most standard seats. Bear in mind when purchasing aftermarket seats that you will need new sub frames to fit them in your car.

Types Of Bucket Seat

Individual bucket seats
This type of bucket seat can be bought with or with out arm rests and the back of the seat can be either low or high back. This type of seat is designed to hold one person.

Captain seats
This type of seats are most often found in vans. This seat is designed for one person. They have adjustable head rests, be able to swivel and will have arm rests.

60/40 seats
This type of seat could be described as a bench seat. 60% of the seat is contoured for the driver and 40% of the seat is contoured for the passenger. The seat can be bought with or with out an arm rest between the driver and the passenger. The seat can either be split or solid back. The benefit of the split back is that you can move one of the seats forward without disturbing the other person's seat.

40/60 bucket seats
This type of seat is very similar to the seat described above, except only 40& of the seat is dedicated to the driver and the other 60% is dedicated to the passenger. The seat has the same characteristics and benefits of the 60/40 bucket seat.

45/45 seats
This type of seat allows the passenger and driver to have the same amount of space. There will often be a centre arm rest and separate head rests.

Fixed And Recliner Bucket Seats

Bucket seats come in fixed or recliner models and can be fitted in three or five door cars. These seats offer much more support and will keep you gripped firmly as you're taking fast corners.
