Alfa Romeo RZ

Car Reviews » Alfa Romeo » RZ

The Alfa Romeo RZ, Roadster Zagato, was launched in 1992 and was produced until 1994. It was announced that 350 of this model would be made, however, only 284 were produced. Due to the limited number available most of the models were bought before production even started. The RZ has 3.0 V6 engine, capable of reaching 150 mph. The RZ is a convertible version of the Alfa Romeo SZ.

The RZ was designed with no visible door handles and had six square headlights. This model also has a short wheel base which was different to the other models Alfa Romeo released around the same time. The design of the car allows the hood to be folded completely away. This resulted in two humps in the rear deck lid of the model. This was a typical Zagato trademark known as the 'double bubble' roof. The RZ models were available in only 3 colours: red with black leather interior, yellow with black leather interior and black with red leather interior.
