The Alfa Romeo 147 is a small stylish hatch back. The 147 was launched at Turin Motor show and was the replacement to the Alfa Romeo 145 and 146. It is based on the running gear of the larger 156 saloon, and shares the body chassis of the Fiat Bravo. The 147 was voted the European car of the year in 2001. This car was in production for 9 nine years which makes it one of the oldest small family cars.

The original 147 was designed by Walter de'Silva and Wolgang Egger. The 147 received a major face lift in 2004. The cars received a newly styled front grille, rear and front headlights. The car has been designed with a delay timer in the light stalk which makes the lights stay on longer to enable you to get in your house before the lights go out. The 147 is a lot less spacious than the 145 and 14.

The design of the Alfa Romeo includes 6 safety air bags, which makes this car extremely safe. They also have ABS brakes and traction control.
