Fiat Idea

Car Reviews » Fiat » Idea

The Fiat Idea was launched in 2003 and is a mini MPV. The platform of the Idea was based on the platform of the second generation of the Fiat Punto. The Idea had a facelift during 2006.

The Idea is well known due to its interior being versatile. It includes sliding and folding rear seats. This increases the legroom for front passengers. This means that the Idea can rival most larger cars. If the rear seats are needed, all three rear passenger seats are fitted with headrests and full seat belts. The storage space in the boot is extremely spacious and folding and sliding the rear seats can increase this. There are also 27 cubby holes inside the cabin. The interior is well put together and is easy to use. The seats are comfortable even on long journeys and the drivers seat is height adjustable. The steering wheel is height and reach adjustable. However, the main problem in the cabin is that the front pillars block visibility for the driver. The high driving position does give the driver a full overall view of the road in front of them. This also means the passenger has a more interesting view of the road.
