Fiat Tipo

Car Reviews » Fiat » Tipo

The Fiat Tipo was produced between 1988 and 1995 and is a small family car. It was designed as a replacement to the Bravo and the Brava. Fiat initially released the Tipo as a five door hatchback. The Tipo was built on a completely new Fiat platform. This platform was later used on the Fiat Alfa-Romeo and the Fiat Lancia. The Tipo won the European Car of the Year in 1989 and also won the Semperit Irish Car of the Year in 1989.

The exterior design of the Tipo stood out because of its boxy styling. It was made completely out of galvanised body panels, to avoid rust. The interior of the Tipo is spacious. There is a large amount of room in the front of the vehicle and in the rear. This makes it an extremely comfortable ride for all of the people in the car. The Tipo is well equipped and offers good value for money.
