Car Reviews » Aston Martin » DB5

The Aston Martin DB5 was an improved version of the DB4 and was launched in 1963. The DB5 is available in a sports saloon and a convertible. This model is most famous for being the James Bond films including GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies and Goldfinger. There were only 123 people who owned the DB5 in the mid 1960s. This was due to a disruption in production. The differences in between the two models include the engine in the DB5 being 4.0 litre compared to the 3.7 litre in the DB4, and the DB5 also had a five speed transmission.

The DB5 includes a number of comforts. All of the models had 4 seats and 2 doors. The interior included padded reclining seats, electric windows, pile carpets and a fire extinguisher. At the time of its release, its recessed headlights would have been considered modern. Its streamline look also makes this model stand out in the crowd. The interior is made from wood and leather. Its like stepping back in time when you get in to this model.
