Car Reviews » Aston Martin » DB9
The Aston Martin DB9 is the predecessor to the DB7. The DB9 is a GT Sports coupe and was launched in 2004. The model comes in two designs, a coupe and Volante convertible. It has been argued that Aston Martin called this car the DB9 instead of the DB8 because of the number of improvements they made to the DB7 to design this new model.
The DB9 was the first model to use the platform from the Ford VH platform. The cars exterior uses smooth lines from the front of the car to the back. The model uses a mesh grille, different side skirts than the ones used on other models and the tail lights use clear lenses. The interior is designed in wood and leather. The car does have technology but is organised in such a way that the car does not become clustered. Aston Martin placed a plague on each of the engines of the DB9s that were built, so the owner knew what number car they had bought. There is little room in the back for rear passengers. However, the front seats are more spacious and extremely comfortable.
