Aston Martin Vanquish

Car Reviews » Aston Martin » Vanquish

The Aston Martin Vanquish is a grand tourer model. The model was discontinued in 2007. The Vanquish became more popular and more recognised after it starred in the James Bond film Die Another Day. Aston Martin produced the Vanquish after producing the GT concept car known as the Project Vantage concept car.

During its lifetime, the Vanquish undertook a number of facelifts. In 2004 Aston Martin unveiled the new style Vanquish at the 2004 Paris Auto Show and was known as the Vanquish S. The end of production of the Vanquish model saw Aston Martin release the Vanquish S Ultimate Edition. Only 40 of this model were made and were available in Ultimate Black, and also had a conventional manual gearbox. The original Vanquish had a semi manual gearbox, which had been criticised by many.

The Vanquish comes with brakes that are drilled and ventilated and also has ABS. The model is also fitted with electronic brake distribution. The Vanquish has a small back window that does make it difficult for the driver to see out of. The front seats are comfortable and are made from soft leather, but there is limited headroom. It is possible to convert the model into a 2+2, however, the rear seats will not be very spacious for rear passengers. Boot space in the Vanquish is also limited.
