The Nissan 200SX was produced from 1995 to 1998. Nissan relaunched the 200SX name plate in America and Canada as a two version of the Nissan Sentra, and designed to replace the Nissan NX. The 200SX is available in three different versions, the base, SE and a sportier SE-R model. All versions share their dashboard, appearance of the front end, and front drive chassis with the Sentra.

The front seats of the 200SX is spacious and comfortable for the driver and the passenger. However, rear passengers will be uncomfortable due to the shortage of space. The boot is shallow due to the rear wheel drive layout. The boot can be extended by folding down the rear seats. All models are fitted with a limited slip differential. This means two wheels that are connected can turn at different speeds. All models are also fitted with air conditioning and full electrics.

The safety features are also limited. There is no traction control. Only one air bag is fitted on the 200SX, unless you decide to buy a touring model, which is fitted with two airbags. An alarm and immobiliser are fitted as standard.
