The Nissan Pulsar debuted as a subcompact car in 1978, and continued to be produced until 2007 when it was replaced by the Nissan Tiida. The Pulsar was released as a replacement to the front wheel drive, The Nissan Cherry. Nissan offered the Pulsar as a four wheel drive in the late 1980s, early 1990s.
