The Audi 80 is a German compact executive car and was produced between 1966 and to 1996. The Audi 80 uses the platform from the Volkswagen Passat. This model was available as a 2 door and a four door saloon car and as an Avant, (estate car).

Audi paid a lot of attention on the safety of this model. It includes a safety feature called Procon ten. In the event of a frontal crash, the car is designed to pull the steering wheel and paddles downwards to prevent injury to the chest. The interior is well designed. The seats are comfortable and spacious. The instruments are well positioned and uncluttered. The exterior is galvanised so reduces the chance of rust. Audi offered a ten year guarantee for the body work not to rust.
