Car Reviews » Audi » A6

The Audi A6 was introduced in to the UK in 2004 and is an executive car that is available as either a saloon or as an estate.

There is large amount of space inside the A6. The boot is larger than many other Audis including the Audi A8. There is adequate space in the back for rear passengers, however, the sculptured seats makes the rear more suitable for 2 passengers, rather than 3. The centre of the dashboard features a multimedia interface that allows you to control the climate control, stereo etc and is easy to use and understand. The A6 is not fitted with a standard handbrake. Instead, there is parking brake button on the centre console. The butoon controls the electro mechanical, (EM), brake. If you set off with the with the parking brake still, it automatically switches itself off.

The Audi A6 is safety conscious. The model received the highest rating for both adult and child occupant protection. The brake lights are fitted with LED lights that are quicker and brighter than conventional brake lights. The model is fitted with traction control and a total of six airbags. There are twin front air bags, side and also curtain airbags. The A6 comes with electronic stability control that will help the driver regain control if they skid. One other safety feature is the active head restraints. This helps reduce the chance of whiplash in he event of a crash.
