Chevrolet Camaro

Car Reviews » Chevrolet » Camaro

The Chevrolet Camaro went on sale on the 29th September 1966. The Camaro was classified as a pony car, or a muscle car and was released as competition to the Ford Mustang. The model uses the platform from and other designed components from the Pontiac Firebird. There were four generations of the Camaro before it ceased production in 2002.

The exterior and interior echoes the sixties. The main instruments are set in separate pods and the gauges are set below the gear lever. The steering wheel is over sized that makes it difficult to use and the optional sunroof makes the interior uncomfortable for taller drivers. The trunk is extremely small that makes it hard to load large objects in to the trunk. The retro exterior leaves little room for the glass in the car. The thin windshield and windows makes visibility difficult, and can make parking more difficult then it should be.

There are a few safety features added to the Chevrolet Camaro. There are front seat side airbags, and full length side curtain airbags. There is also anti lock brakes and stability control that help make the car feel as safe as possible.
