The Ferrari 246 is a 1969 mid engine rear drive sports car, and the 246 is also known as the Dino 246. Ferrari uses the cars specs to give each model its name. The first two digits represent the models engine size and the third digit represents the number of cylinders in the model. This means the 246 has a 2.4L engine and six cylinders. The 246 was the first car Ferrari produced in high numbers. It has received praise for its groundbreaking design and for its driving qualities. The model reached number six in the Sports Car International list of top sports cars in the 1970s.
The 246 are uncomfortable to drive thanks to the low backed bucket seats. The seats do not offer much lumber support to the driver. The driving position also forces the drivers legs to be hunched, and most of the front of the vehicle is out of sight of the driver. The interior is not very spacious and can feel a little bit cramped inside.
