Car Reviews » Ferrari » 550

The Ferrari 550 was first launched in 1996 and was available in two different versions, the 550 Maranello and the Barchetta. Both versions are upmarket 2-seat grand tourers. The Maranello was released first and later followed by the Barchetta in 2002. This car was designed to be Ferraris highest end model. The number 550 refers to the 5.5L engine in this model.

The interior of the 550 is extremely spacious. There is adequate room for the driver and all of its passengers. The trunk is also spacious as it is tall and wide, but not very deep. The interior is leather which makes the car feel more luxurious. However, in this model, the leather is prone to peeling away if left in the sun. This was due to Ferrari changing its glue supplier for a short period.
