The Ferrari Testarossa went into production in 1984 and was launched as the successor to the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer at the Paris Motor Show. The Testarossa was designed to be more luxurious than the Berlinetta Boxer. It was also designed to be more spacious than the Berlinetta Boxer. The Testarossa is a 2 door coupe with a fixed rough. The name Testarossa means read head in Italian.

The design of the Testarossa was very similar to the Berlinetta Boxer. The main difference between the two was that the Testarossa was designed with two radiators, one either side of the engine. The Berlinetta Boxer only had one radiator at the rear. The interior also underwent a facelift. The wheel used in the model was a three spoke wheel and a a new dash facia. The model still used the traditional open gear shift.
