Rover is a British car manufacturing company which started in 1877 and started manufacturing Rover cars from 1904 onwards. Land Rover vehicles were manufactured from 1947 onwards. Rover then did well with their cars getting quite well known for reliable and safe cars. Following the 1980s and the finacial issues with British Leyland Rover passed through the hands of British Aerospace and then fell into the ownership of BMW.
With the technological skills gained from Honda, and the great financial investment from BMW meant that Rover were able to revive themselfs and began to develope many car models during the 1990s. In 2000, BMW sold off all Rover and MG activities to the Phoenix Consortium. Phoenix Consortim then established the MG Rover Group at Longbridge, while selling all Land Rover vehicle activities to the Ford Motor Company. MG Rover was proclaimed to have lost all advantages provided by BMW and the Land Rover manufacturing activities, along with very bad media representation severely destroyed all trust with the people, causing MG Rover to become insolvent in April 2005.

Rover MG ZR
The Rover MG ZR is a hot hatch manufactured from 2001 to 2005 by MG Rover. The MG ZR was based on the Rover 25, however the ZR featured a number of extra styling modifications and better performance additions such as uprated sports suspension and sports exhausts.
Rover MG F
The MG F is a mid-engined sports roadster that is rear wheel drive and was originally manufactured 1995. It was one of the first, cars lauched by the new Rover MG mark at the time. It was produced from 1995 until 2005.
