Suzuki was first founded in 1909, and originated as a Japanese business that built weaving looms for the silk industry.
In 1937 Despite Suzuki realized that building a small car would be the best way to addapt to the modernising world. Within two years Suzuki had built many prototype cars. The first Suzuki vehicles were powered by a what was high tech for the era, were liquid-cooled, four-stroke, four-cylinder engines that were less than 800cc. Built with a cast aluminum gearbox and crankcase producing a whopping 13 BHP. Suzuki then advanced to motorcycles, and started developing these and changed their name to Suzuki Motor Co Ltd. Suzuki created a more successful car in 1955 which included front-wheel drive, four-wheel independent suspension and rack-and-pinion steering which was very modern for the day.
Today the Suzuki Motor Corporation is a well reckognised Japanese car manufacturer that specializes in manufacturing small cars, motorcycles and larger 4x4 Vehicles.

Suzuki Swift
The Suzuki Swift began as a come back of the Suzuki Cultus, a small hatchback vehicle. The Generation IV Swift was launched September 2004 to compete with the Peugeot 206, Vauxhall Corsa and the Fiat Punto. The Suzuki Swift's design and driving characteristics help make the Swift an ideal first car with either a 1.3 litre petol producing 92BHP and a slightly larger 1.5 litre engine that produces 102BHP.
Suzuki Vitara
The Suzuki Vitara is a small 4x4. The Suzuki Vitara is more of a normal road car, as tests have proven this is not one of the best 4x4s and wouldnt be recomended to be used on a cross country trail! The larger five-door estates are more modern and provide a bit more luxury. Having said that however the three door models are often crammed with optional extras and can be a better option for your money.
Suzuki Wagon R
The Suzuki Wagon R is a very small people carryer, first introduced in 1993. It is one of the first cars to use the heightened body shell for its design. This car has quite a interesting design with its unusual height and very short bonnet and a vertical hatchback style sides. This is proclaimed to be to enable the car be more of a "city" car and be easier to park and manouver in traffic.
