ok its not a major issue but i was at the jet wash yesterday and i noticed on my inner arch was this weird white sticky stuff (was really disgusting!!) and after rubbing it off and jetting the arche i noticed it looks like its taken a bit of the top layer of paint off its not gone thought but its looks like its got sunburnt and started peeling hehe any thoughts of what i should do? as i dont want my baby going rusty!!

it may just be the effect of the jet wash it happened to ma dads rover but u can get protective paint for your car but itll cost u a fortune

"you could of taken the laquer off which will result in new paint plus laquer. =££££ my advice is stay away with the jet wash or dont get too close when all is dry go to the area and scratch a bit off with you nail you'll know if its laquer as it'l be clear like nailvarnish laquer."

what year's the car?? it could just be good old fashioned underseal. personally i wouldn't worry too much especially if it's under the arch...

"i think its the varnish and i think i just explained myself poorly oops its like on the bottom of the arch but around the wheel. so you can actually see it its not too obvious but it is to me as i know its there. and im still trying to sort a camera dazzi so i can take some pics my partners supposed to be getting me one but he hasnt yet and thanks Phil lol i know fiats arent the best but i love my lil punto hehe "

Tell your partner to get a camera quick if he doesn't the damage will get worse day by day and will cost more that a decent camera to sort out!

sounds to me it's just general wear and tear. ie stones and grit hitting. mostly seen on cheap bodykits that haven't been painted correctly..
