"i used to have a rover(Dont laugh) and i had a k&N k75i on it so now i have bought a peugeot 306 1.6 meridian i though i woould buy a new filter and can not find one anywhere that is made specific for my model. i can fit a induction kit on it but the only thing is that i have 3 pipes leading off the air box. what do i do with these? i know its probebly a real amateur question but it is annoying me lol thanks "
"i would of said 1 pipe will come off the air box to the engine as your air in another pipe will be the air feed leeding to the front grille area and then 3rd a lower filter reservour maybe? but if your fitting a airfilter you will remove the airbox anyway unless your talking about a panel filter? "
yeah i know i have to remove the airbox but if i do will it cause problems with the other pipes what do i do with the 3 pipes?
"dont suppose you have any pics at all? but at a guess id say remove them depending on what they are attached too but my guess is the 3 pipes are what i listed above and so if thats right then you should be fine all you will need is the main air intake pipe to the engine from the airbox."
i not got any pictures at the mo am at work. i will have a look where the pipes lead to when i get home and probs post u the details and pics if i can see exactly where they lead to. cheers m8
no worrys fella and welcome to modified-enthusiasts too
On mine I used a universal airfilter and my MAF sensor can be pluged into the induction kit (i made a hole). Regarding the 3 pipes one of these is your crank case breather which usually you can find at the top of your engine. You can take the pipe of up there and replace it with a breather filter. Another one may be a vacumm line for your engine which needs to be connected via a nipple into the induction kit. And lastly the 3rd must be your MAF or air monitor sensor which can be held into your induction kit with rubber housing.
right my cousin had a 1.6 306 XSi and his was very similar. (as it is also same as my engine almost) what you do to get a bit more power and noise. remove air box and remove the airintake pipe completely off the trottle body. and fasten the cone filter directly on the throttle body. his 306 was rapid very fast car
