"Right picture this then give me help!?! Coming home from seeing the mrs at hospital doing 45 on a 40 road. all of a sudden out of nowhere appears a bloody great big Crator in the road vertually impossible to react so i hit it head on it sounded like id hit a wall felt like id run over a ing bear. and the whole front end shifted to the left into the oposite lane all u heard was horns and horns lets say i was a fraction away from new trousers. newho. i pulled over thinking i may have popped the tire coz it was a sharp edged hole. but the tire seemed fine upon setting off again my steering felt very hard as if my PAS pump had gone or emptied. when i go full locdk to left (with some effort) theres a click and on way back to center the front end shift's slightly. also when rolling at around 5-10 mph steering wheel developed a nervous twitch :S i cant afford to take it to a garage yet so im just asking what it may be and if im still ok to drive her? my guess would be either drive shaft ball joints CV Boots buckled wheel or chassie twisted? Thanks "

Sounds fun. Not... Have you checked to see if strut is bent back? As lad at my work did similar and turned out needed new suspension strut..
"savage mate! another thought also is for ur repairs then send the bill to ur council and sometimes they will pay it as its due to their poor upkeep of the road "
"ooh never thought of that.. well i got paid today n lost it again (bills) so i gotta wait till next month got a fella who said hel look at it for me for nowt and said hel temporarily fix what evers wrong to get me through another month n wont charge me owt so gunna do that. ill keep u informed of what the damage is "

"could well be a buckled wheel but if your steerin is heavy you could of ed the steering rack up. "

gutted man ring a no win no fee solicitor and see what you can do as if its due to poor upkeep of the road and you werent speeding then its the councils fault you might be able to claim inconviences also always worth a try!!
yeah im looking into the council thing it wont be just me whos hit it though i bet a fair few have hit it but with me have wide alloys and low profile tyres that aint gunna help is it lol plus the tyre that hit was a tad low on air but still enough to drive safely
