3 main types of suspension: Lowering springs - Shorter & Stiffer springs which lower the car Arguably can improve handling (Imo dont and make the car handle dangerous) also cause premature wear on standard shocks arms etc Cheap though approx £100 a set Dampering kits - Springs and shocks (Non adjustable) Improve handling of car but cost £200/300 So get coilovers - springs with fancy shockers fully adjustable (eg drop of 40-80mm) Will transform the ride of your car providing tyres balancing tracking cambre is all sorted Decent ones start at £400 Tom

Yeah i know they make the ride uncomfy But thats the point in them If set up right they seriously improve handling This is because the coilover shock is super stiff and designed for stiff springs Otheriwse with normal lowering springs the car is always on half compressed shocks which aint good

:o U What? 50mm lowering springs if u put them next to standard springs are almost half the size! Meaning that the uppper mounts fall down onto the top of the shorter springs Hence forcing the shocker down into itself

Obviously there is :? Firstly: lowering springs are generally alot stiffer...agreed?!! Therefore if the springs were the same size to achieve a lower car the lowering spring would have to be less stiff than the originals to bring the car down As same size and stiffness would mean higher up!! Hence why the stiffer ratio (lowering) springs are often half the size. Thats why its easier to put springs on than it is to take them off
