Yep thats right all on me lonesome apart from getting my missus to try losening the top three bolts... it was quite funny watching her struggle and seeing the faces she was pulling kinda felt like a NUTS day... oh and the face she pulled when she realised the black stuff was oil.... oil she said with a glare... my hands are hurting was the next.. so i sent her off to wash her hands but not before washing me wheels ha ha.. Anyway yep it took me from 7pm to 8:30pm to do the whole job..... who needs a two man band..lol took for a spin and jobs a good one just need me new tyres fitting before 6 points come aknocking.
bloody hell mate...suppose its easier now we have had all the nuts and bolts lose already hey.. u can do mine then haha
Ill have if down to a hour after a few more goes...... oh and i have a deep reach 18mm spanner now....cant wait to do another fiat..... get some spings for yours NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
strange that i fitted my full coilovers in under an hour two off us working on the car
I was on my own and apart from a half hearted attempt at help from the missus (trying to losen the top three bolts on the strut)... also i think having to compress the springs on ya own makes it a little harder than two doing a coilover job... like i said ill have under a hour... in fact you have inadvertedly set me a challenge im going for the record quickest one man shock and spring change....lol...whats ya motor Kaz how are the coilovers i like the sound of these but they seem rather expensive?
astra G hatch and they were 250 quid off fleabay
Whats the difference tho? You pay a extra ton for them to be ajustable is that all? there has to be more than that to it ?
