Fiat 126

Car Reviews » Fiat » 126

The Fiat 126 was first introduced at the Turin Auto Show in October 1972. The 126 is a city car and released as a replacement to the Fiat 500. The two models were very similar to each other. They both shared the same mechanical underpinnings and also shared the same rear engine design. The main difference between the two models were design of the body shell. Fiat also increased the engine size for the 126.

In spite of the having a small wheelbase, the 126 is surprisingly spacious. There is plenty of room for the driver and their passengers. There is plenty of leg and head room. This makes the car very comfortable, even on long journeys. There is a lack of space in the boot. It means that any bulky or oversize luggage needs to be stored on the back seat of the car.
