Fiat Seicento

Car Reviews » Fiat » Seicento

The Fiat Seicento was first introduced as the replacement for the Fiat Cinquecento in 1997. Fiat did not alter much to the design of the Cinquencento. The Seicento has the same chassis, engine and general dimensions to its predecessor. However, Fiat did add an extra 9cm in length to the new model. Seicento means 600 in Italian. The car was in fact rebadged as as 600 to celebrate the models 50th anniversary of the model.

The Seicento did not score very high during safety tests. This could be due to the model's extremely short front end. The car comes with ABS and air bags as optional extras. There is adequate room in the front for the passenger and the driver, however, it is cramped in the back, making it an uncomfortable ride on long journeys. There is also a small boot. The interior is nice to look and the dash is easy to navigate around. Visibility is overall good and it is easy to park, thanks to the city button on the power steering.
