Fiat Stilo

Car Reviews » Fiat » Stilo

The Fiat Stilo is a small family car that is available in 3 body styles, a 3 door hatchback, 5 door hatchback and an estate. The 3 door and 5 door hatchbacks were launched to replace the Bravo/Brava in 2001. The estate was then released in 2002. The new Bravo has been launched to replace the Stilo. When the Stilo was originally launched some argued that the styling was too bland, and that it also had excessive weight. This resulted in disappointing sale figures. Fiat launched a massive advertising campaign in 2004 and also changed the style of the rear lights.

The handling of the Stilo is good for motorway driving. It does, however, suffer from some body roll. The ride is comfortable, and can make the drive of a Stilo enjoyable. Access to the rear seats is a lot easier in the 5 door than the 3 door. There is also adequate space in the five door, but it is a tight squeeze in the 3 door. Therefore, the five door is more comfortable than the 3 door. The picnic tables on the back on the front seat also make the cars feel more cramped. The materials in the interior do not add a sparkle to the model.
