The Audi A8 is a four door, five seat luxury car and was launched in 1994. The Audi A8 is available in standard and in long wheel based models.
The exterior attracts a lot of attention. It has detailed LED daytime running headlights and xenon headlamps. The exterior is similar to the Audi A4. The A8 has adjustable air suspension which can provide a comfortable ride.
The interior is spacious and offers a luxurious place to be. There is a lot of space in the back for rear passengers. The long wheelbase offers an extra 13 cm in the back for rear passengers. There is plenty of head and shoulder space. There is a large amount of electric seat and steering wheel adjustments so it is easy to feel comfortable in this model. The interior is lined with leather. The dashboard has a multi media interface which is simple to use. There are a number of comfort features included in the model. There are rear reading lights and the doors have varnished wood panels.
Like many other Audi models, the A8 is fitted with many safety features. There are 8 airbags that make this car safe. There are driver and passenger front airbags, knee air bags that prevent the front passengers knees impacting with the dashboard, front seat side impact airbags and full length head curtain airbags. Rear airbags are also available as an extra option. It also features dynamic head restraints, which reduce the chance of whiplash in the case of a crash. The A8 has ABS as standard that includes electronic brake pressure distribution. The A8 has a number of extra safety features including the Audi Lane Assist. If the car veers out of its traffic lane, the car warns the driver by making the steering wheel vibrate. There is also Audi Side Assist that warns the driver by flashing a small light in the drivers side mirror if there is a car in their blind spot.
