Rover is a British car manufacturing company which started in 1877 and started manufacturing Rover cars from 1904 onwards. Land Rover vehicles were manufactured from 1947 onwards. Rover then did well
with their cars getting quite well known for reliable and safe cars. Following the 1980s and the financial issues with British Leyland, Rover passed through the hands of British Aerospace and then
fell into the ownership of BMW.
