Subaru is a Japanese car manufacturer and started in 1917 as Fuji Heavy Industries as The Aircraft Research Laboratory. Then between 1953-1955 the company began developing engines, chassis and other

car parts and scooters. The name Subaru in Japanese can be translated into English and means, to govern, unite, or gather together. Subaru is well known for their boxer engines which is used in most

of their vehicles manufactured. The company decided to use all wheel drive in most their manufactured cars as standard equipment in 1996. Subaru offer a turbocharged version of most of the cars they

manufacture. A perfect example of this is the Subaru Impreza WRX which of course renowned for it's rally racing.
