Toyota MR2

The Toyota MR2 was produced from 1984 to 2007 and is a two seat, mid engined, rear wheel drive sports car. The MR2 was designed to be a small and economical car, but also sporty in both style and handling. There were three distinctive generations of the MR2. The first generation ran between 1984 to 1989 and was designed with angular lines. The second generation ran from 1990 to 1999 and the styling of the model could be compared to the styling of Ferrari vehicles. The third generation ran from 2000 to 2007 and the styling resembled the Porsche Boxster. All three generations used the same McPherson suspension.

The interior is spacious for both the driver and passenger. There is adequate leg and headroom. The seats are body hugging and comfortable, even on longer journeys. The seating position is very low to the ground and this adds to the feeling of speed. There is a tiny amount of storage space in the nose of the car, and a locker behind the seats. The locker, however, is difficult to access, as you have to fold down the seats. There is also a dash top storage box and a small glove box. All the essential equipment can be found in the interior of the MR2, however, air conditioning is an optional extra. Everything is in easy reach for the driver and is extremely functional. Visibility out of the rear is somewhat restricted, which could make parking more difficult.
