The Chevrolet Corvette was first introduced in 1953 and is an American Sports car. The Corvette has been released six generations, coupe, convertible, t-top coupe, and targa coupe body styles and also has a station wagon. The Corvette has become the sports car of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and is the longest running name plate of the Chevrolet.

There have been several generations of the Corvette. The Corvette of the sixties was a muscle bound model, the Corvette of the seventies was more stylised than the sixties model, and the eighties version had more electronic features. The Corvette of today is capable of competing with other well known models. The low exterior of the newer version of the Corvette makes entering and exiting the vehicle difficult.

The interior of the Corvette is user friendly and comfortable. There is adequate room for the driver and the passengers. The steering wheel is small, but easy to use. It has been argued that the Corvette is a sports car that can be used in day to day life.
