Daihatsu Sirion

Car Reviews » Daihatsu » Sirion

The Daihatsu Sirion has been produced since 1998 and is a subcompact/supermini. There have been three generations of the Sirion. The first ran from 1998 to 2004, the second from 2005 to 2010 and the third from 2010 to date.

The Sirion is a comfortable ride even over bumpy surfaces. However, the high sides do make it feel like the car does roll on corners. There is also a lack of grip, so extra caution does need to be taken on tight corners. The car is good on motorways, but it is difficult to make swift overtakes. The long wheel base makes the car look lower than it actually is, but once inside it is evident that you are sitting quite high.

The interior is spacious even though this is a small car. This is due to the Sirion having a wide track. This means there is an increase in shoulder room than in other small cars available. There is plenty of room for the driver and all its passengers. The dashboard is simple and easy to use. The controls are large and comfortable. There is a lot of storage in the Sirion. There are plenty of cup holders, and also a utility rack that runs at the base of the fascia. This increases storage within the car.
