"Called AET yesterday and they quoted me 425 + my turbo for a T28 or 350 to repair my current T25. The reason being is the T28 is a hybrid bb turbo. But i can get a new T28 pre oiled ready to rock for 170 from the states but it is through ebay. so dont know what to do...... decisions...decisions "

if I were you i'd be on the lookout for a cheap Garrett 3071 internal wastegate as it is the same fitment as the T28. Unsure of the 200 but on the R it only needs a little grinding then fits straight on. Obviously you'd need a remap if you change from standard size anyway might aswell go bigger. That way even if your not power hungry you can have the same BHP at a lower boost.

"ah right nice one for the 200 its pretty much the same as the pulsar with a T25 / T28 flange so i should of thought that should fit. There is also quite alot of space for a nicely sized turbo so i will keep my eyes open. Cheers for advice Out of interest what lump is it in the pulsar? "

"a t28 wont be able to flow 375bhp unfortunately. im pretty sure even a gt28rs would be at its limits. a gt2871r will see you right to 400bhp. you need to do a bit of research on the sxoc but youve got to remember if youre not running forged internals your power limit is your pistons not your turbo. the t28 of the gtir is a good turbo. John"

Stage 2 is around 275 ive miss typed the figure . But yeh according to sxoc the CA18DET engine can handle up to 300 without any internal work. I think 275 would keep my happy for now then its just a case of upgrade as things go wrong from then on."
