"Phil i bought a fiesta ST last year with the ex.(which she took) Nice car but to do anything to it was looking at £100's of pounds. And it was slow..Considering it was a 2.0 it wasn't that impressive. I'd take old skool over new school any day mate.."

"get rid mate if u can get a old banger and make it a beast!!! Well saying that i still have a banger but if i roll down the windows and rev it in a tunnel it sounds like a beast Its all down to u mate no matter what anyone says or advises it is ur desision. Dont run back get rid and have no car shop around find a car do some insurance quotes. Dont jump in with to feet. look ahead mate and u will be just fine. If u like the car maybe get a 306 or something nice car cheap insurance looks good. Pluss the crash thing mate yeah u ur pants but wasnt it mint. They are awsone crashes best buzz in the world if u walk away. Yeah it was not ur falt like u said. If u looked on the news the outher day a yong lad on a bike went through a massive puddle. He diddnt see how deep it was cos he road was dark. He slipped off into the outher lane and a car ran over him. He died through the council not taking care of the rads we pay for. Think yourself lucky mate dust urself off and get on with it."

"obviously everyone is to there own fella so just do what you feel comfortable with. As a couple of guys have said. They prefer the older cars like myself plenty of benefits! Also old cars are unreliable if they havent been looked after. Everyone says RS Turbo's are unreliabe but I was running 20 psi boost (hell of alot) and serviced it regular and she never let me down once. started first time every time. Let us know the outcome tomorrow mate cos I always get cars in and out cheap."

"Ok went up on Saturday.. had a chat with some bloke. Basicly they wont take it back untill ive had it for atleast 2 years. reason been anyone could go in get a car and take it back and get another etc etc. even though i explained i didnt want another and just wanted to hand it back coz i was struggling with payments *im not just figured sob story wud work* they cant do it. so instead of me getting frustrated and possibly destroying the place with rage i left. so im keeping her shes a beautifull car anyway and ive put my alloys back on and she drives and feels just like she did before my accident. so im not scared no more haha. So yesterday i removed all badges and stickers from boot lid looks loads better. first step towards my EURO styling lol. as ive decided to go ahead with that."

"in reply to ""afford to get it done properly"" Phil. Best ones are the ones we do ourselves. Yes we can all get huge loans and send our cars away. But doing it yourself on the cheap is so much more rewarding. "

gotta agree with fizzypopturbo. My red zvh rs turbo was a monster and everything i bought was second hand. You'll get more pride from your own customisations aswell. I'll show you what I mean when I start the next zvh project hopefully next month. Gonna build my own clocks ;-)

"Grant - what i mean was i cant afford stuff full stop lol. i want to do everything my self. its just doing it thats the thing. ive scrapped the smooth boot idea as 206's look like rovers with a smooth boot lid so i think next thing is gunna be getting it lowered. just need to save up for lowering springs which will take about 5 month then find someone cheap to lower rear torsion bars which will take about a year to save for lol. but i sopose the best cars dont happen over night do they"
