I can't get the damn things off to change my pads which are really low. Taken it to a local garage I know and hes having problems getting them apart!!!! He just rang me up to say we used 1/2 ton jack to try and pry them apart without success so looks like i need to fork out 250 quid on brakes now (I have the UK brake conversion as the JDM are crap). Bloody typical this as I want to buy 800 quids worth of alloys next week

Update the passenger side brake weren't even working as the pistons have completly seized and i was braking with 2 pots (i have 4) on the drivers side. He quoted me 220 + vat per caliper and thats a good price as he knows me. So anyway I found some on ebay for 250.

"well not yet just ordered some new calipers but theres always more problems that could possibly happen. I have no idea why they seized up. The fluid is fine the break lines are fine... I mean a 1/2 ton jack can't get them apart - thats serious stuff"

"Well this is how it goes: I went to put some new pads on and found my calipers were seized so I bought some new ones from an import car company and turns out they are reconditioned and have a big crack in the casting near the banjo fitting - cleaverly hidden with a nice lick of paint... I then bought some through my local garage and found out they are the wrong ones and today im still waiting to see if the other ones they have ordered are right. Btw because my old calipers decided to seize up im now 800 odd quid out of pocket."

These had totally seized up. I was told there wasn't enough silicon in the brake fluid or water got in... I sold them for 70 quid to scrap yard though.
