"Yeh how do i colour match my paint? as i have a red car and so it will of faded with time i know componding and machine polish will get her back to a closer shade but it will never be the same? is it just a matter of getting the book from halfords or andrew pages and matching what paint is closest to my car? or do i just go for my paint code colour? or what? im going to go for a diy kit spray for now with the advancment to respray at a much later date so its not like it matters i would just like it too be as close as i can get it for now. "
yeh halford is lol if u know someone with a bodyshop they will often do u a paint match. or go to a proper paint shop that specialises in matching paint. and can match it with code and shade.
"theres a place near me not sure where tho. and hes a paint specialist. what he does is removes a segmant of paint from your car. (somewhere un noticable) and then give you the paint which is exactly the same as your car colour now. not when it was new coz as you said it will have faded. aint there neone like that nr you?"

Let me have a good look at your car before you spend money on paint. you never know a couple of hours may be all i need...
Some spray the factory paint on and polish up the surrounding area to match the rest. Others mix the paint spot on to match the old.
