"ok well i ended up with some bellend van running me off the road a dinner time so not to hit the lunatic who must of been doing well over 60-70 in a 30zone i had to mount the kerb sadly upon doing so this has added another mark to the alloys (not too bothered with that though as i need new or them referbing which evers cheapest) but yeh upon doing so it took what must be a cm flap out of the side tyre wall it must only be about 2-3mm of rubber in a flap so..... what should i do as its a newish tyre full tread still even has the bobbles sticking out!! should i...try to stick the flap down? as i spat on the tyre and it didnt bubble (as such proving no air leaks) should i just pull it off and ignore it? or is this going to be a illegal tyre / dangerous now? all input welcome "

"if i was absolutly skint. i'd put the tyre on the back of the car But in all essence this probably will be an illegal tyre now. i'd hazaard that guess without see-ing a pic depending on how deep it is though could vary. "

"yeah i agree wi johny. youve potentialy weekend the tyre now so it could end up egging so to speak and eventually blowing out. sticking the flap down wont do much either. Id say it would be ilegal. and enough to fail your MOT. But with what johny said if your that skint put it on the rear less weight."

also if it goes pop the damage it couldcause should be less and you'd be more likely to keep control of the car."
