" anyone identify this noise? be warned its a very irritating noise to hear over and over. and dont have speakers too loud as its ear piercing. or is to me anyway. but only happens when engine is cold. and stops once its warmed up. and my power steering fluid seems to be very slowly getting lower and lower"

"Well shaun my car has done 33k miles so dont think its cam belt yet as i belive it needs doing at 60k.. But ive solved the problem yesterday as i was doing alot of driving about that squeek got louder and was still there when engine was warm then it stopped and i sarted developing a wiring noise and my steering seemed a little bit heavier. then the wiring noise got so loud i could hear it over my exhaust and sterio. and my power steering became none existant. it was like driving my old corsa that had no PAS. it took me all my effort to park the bloody thing. looked under bonnet my PAS fluid was everywhere on my fan belt pullys engine all over under the car like wishbones etc within 10 mins of parking up there was a huge puddle under the car. PAS resovuoir was empty. filled it up and it emptied instantly on to road. checked all hoses and pipes and they are fine. Basicly power steering pump has totaly gone lol. so managed to source a new one for _Ǭ£40. will fit it once it gets delivered during week and im hoping it should bo sorted then lol. But thanks for all your comments "
