New member, right place?

Hi All,

Just joined as I have a really boring idea of buying an old 1000cc car and using some diy electronics and software to run the Fuel & Ignition. The aim would be to make the engine so economic that is difficult to drive.

Where should I post questions about the legal issues? (can I use diy kit on a older car without having it inspected, etc) Just the basic stuff before I buy a car.
