Xbox Vs PS3

"ok my boo is due back to the UK in a few months and i cant wait (hes been away 7months now!) so i thought i would supprise him with a games console to keep him occupied and out of mischief when im at work!! hehe which is the best? as the Playstation seems more expensive so i assume this one??"

"Well my cousin has x2 xbox 360's one for each of his kids. and ive played on them the games are just awesome and the AI on some games is just fantstic. and to be honest i played for a few hours on the Xbox and found it great. Ive also played on the PS3 at my mates and tbh i didnt like it. the games are relatively the same as the xbox. AI still amazing etc. but the controls are a pain in the arse after 5 mins it was doing my head in i couldnt grip them properly like where as the xbox controls were perfect. and comfier to hold in my opinion. the PS3 controls are too small and pathetic if u ask me lol personaly if i was to go out and buy one id have the Xbox without a second thought. but it depends on the individual doesnt it..."

"in my oppinion if you want a media station aka a pc get a PS3 as you can go on the net through them and all sorts but its all horibly laid out if you want a games console Xbox is the must in my oppinion ive always had playstations and found them dull now i have the Xbox and i aint regretted it once. Also 3 people i know have a PS3 and they have over heated burntout and just stopped working and ive had no issues with the Xbox (touches wood) i beleive there was that red ring of death thing but i think new xboxes have had this issue resolved and old ones can be returned to xbox for repair should this happen."

"The xbox online facility is much bigger and is easier to play with people online. the ps3 is a more powerful console but in my opinion ( i have both) the xbox is more enjoyable and is harder to put down than the ps3. all you need is fifa 2009 and call of duty and there are numerous car games but they seem to bore me and hes away. although if u do buy him this there is very little chance you will see him because he will have his eyes fixed on the tv and not u "

"Well i can see this turning in to a huge debate over which is better???? Sony PS3 would get my vote hands down. psone from day one etc {paid _Ǭ£500) so will happily say PS3 yes maybe more expensive but worth every penny. Had mine two months before launch and not had any problems. So my answer would be get the PS3....Console of Champions "

"Thanks for all the advice everyone the price tag was swaying me more to the xbox ive seen you can get the arcade pack cheap and you say Call of Duty and Fifa 09 any other suggestions for games i should try get.

you dont need any other games them 2 are immense and you feel like ur wasting time playing any of the other games
