little tip for you .

"on thursday whilst @ work i was going to change a rad on a single decker bus . the bus was steaming hot and i was waiting for it to cool down. there is a drain hose which looked iffy(it just didn't look right). i thought i'd check the clip with my scroddie and 'BANG' scalding hot water all over me. got 2nd deg burns on my arm and its a right mess got my face aswell so i've got a little mark on the left of my eye (i look a little like tony montana so every cloud n that) soooooo just a little note for you whilst working on a hot vehicle weather it be a car bus or whatever just be carefull! i've had all this rammed down my throat about hot vehicles and never removing the expansion tank cap. but still i think you should really beware. when it all cooled off and i got the hose and it had ruptured at the side of the clip and split. hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. johny"

"jesus christ mate! that could of been alot worse i guess on the possitive side! hope your ok fella i remember when a mate of mine tryed removing the coolant cap when the engine was hot and the pressure that was seaping out as he gave it a few turns was crazy! its nuts how much pressure they build up in there."

"yep this rad was blocked solid so the bus was absolutly cooking its nuts off. if i had a T-shirt on i would still be in hospital now they would of kept me in there no doubt. if i would of had my sleeves rolled down and not up then i would probs be ok. it went all over my back but my overalls protected me (what they are there for really) but yeah cant really stress it enough be damn careful "
